The center of this exhibition The World Turns is a small native water, known as the Kuril. In Aboriginal traditions, the Kuril is the caretaker of the land upon which this gallery and the sculpture stand. The kuril in this exhibiton is going about it’s business, even though it has shifted the world – represented by a large, upturned elephant – from its axis. The exhibition reminds us that many times, specific moments in history are recorded, but, as the world turns, there are many other stories.
