Desert Colour

Strange as it may sound, the central Australian desert is filled with colour, varying from season to season. All of the magnificent paintings in this exhibition were created in the desert. Painted on Country by local artists living and also working in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands and the Spinifex Lands. These colourful paintings span fifteen years and celebrate the living desert as a home.

Picasso: The Vollard Suite

The most celebrated etchings of famed artist Pablo Picasso can be found in this truly wonderful exhibition. Consisting of 100 works of art, produced between 1930 and 1937. These etchings represent a critical point in Picasso’s career, containing many themes in his work and even his self-representation as the minotaur. Ambroise Vollard, a well known French art dealer and publisher, gave Picasso his first exhibition in Paris back in 1901. The exhibition was put together in exchange for some pictures, 100 pictures, this exhibition consists of those 100 etchings Picasso created for Vollard.
