Dorrit Black: Linocuts
Coinciding with Dorrit Black’s Unseen Forces monogram, the Dorrit Black: Linocuts exhibition is a selection of Dorrit Black’s colour linocuts.
Having studied in London under the influential British printmaker, Claude Flight in 1927, Black became inspired by his teachings and later by the Cubist principles of French artists André Lhote and Albert Gleizes. Black’s linocuts express a the beautiful dynamism and rhythms of modern day life.
